FAQ Français Create a poll

Privacy

Sondelio is for finding a date or deciding together. It keeps as little data as possible, and only for that.

What is kept

  • The poll: the question, the description, the place, the options, the organizer's first name if they give it.
  • The answers: for each line, the first name (or whatever the person wrote) and the answers (yes, if need be, no), the first name of whoever last changed the line, an optional 4-digit code (kept as a hash, never in plain text).
  • The comments and the first name of their author.
  • A technical identifier: the app opens an anonymous session to know which line is yours on this device. If you create an account, your email address.
  • Your list of polls (the ones you opened), visible to you only.

No ads, no analytics, no resale of data.

Who sees what

A poll is visible to those who have its link, and to no one else: polls are not listed and their address contains a few random letters. Everyone who has the link sees the first names, the answers and the comments, and can change the lines (as in a shared spreadsheet).

Where

The data is stored by Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, authentication), the service that runs the app.

How long

A poll stays online until an organizer deletes it: deleting it erases its options, its answers and its comments. Everyone can delete their own line.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or its deletion: see the contact on tekartik.com.
